On Friday, July 25 Oregon Manifest, a nonprofit design-focused bike advocacy organization, will unveil a new bike created for its Bike Design Project by Chicago firm Minimal. The unveil will take place at a beer and bike party at Minimal, 939 West Lake Street, from 6-9pm. All proceeds from beer sales will be donated to Working Bikes, and a few of us will be on hand for the party! See official event page here for more info.
Oregon Manifest is an independent creative catalyst, bringing talented and creative thinkers together to develop innovative bike design. The Bike Design Project is an independent innovation platform for the urban utility bike. Oregon Manifest partnered design firms across the country with American bike craftsmen to collaboratively develop the next-wave urban bike. Five teams from five cycling-centric cities competed to concept, create and champion their unique vision of tomorrow’s bicycle for the everyday rider.
Deschutes Brewery is teaming up with each of the five city teams to create a beer inspired by and specific to each team’s designer bike. Think, “if the bike were a beer, what would it be?” They are hosting a simultaneous reveal party for each bike and its corresponding beer in each participating city on the 25th.
Come by and say “hi” while enjoying the bikes and brews!
