Brandon’s Basics: An Orientation

Starting January 2018 Working Bikes will offer a monthly orientation called Brandon’s Basics. So what’s the benefit of attending Brandon’s Basics? It is a great introduction for volunteers who want to learn about bicycle mechanics. This is also a requirement for those who wish to sign up for any of our Winter Workshops.

Brandon’s Basics covers:
–  Introduction to Brandon’s Bike Shop
–  House Rules and Etiquette
–  WB Membership Program
–  Parts of the Bike
–  Bicycle Repair Checklist
–  Names and Uses of Tools
–  Shop Liquids
–  Using a Bike Stand

Brandon’s Basics is available from 11am-12pm on the first Saturday of the month. It is FREE and open to everyone. Though we do not require a reservation, it would help us to know how many people will show. If you plan to bring a group please contact us ahead of time so we can accommodate accordingly.

Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early for a prompt start. Latecomers will not be accepted and may attend the next available orientation.

For inquiries contact volunteer@workingbikes.org.

During the month of January we’re offering Brandon’s Basics for two weeks – see dates here.
